This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") sets out what is and is not allowed on the CliqMenu platform. It applies to everyone who uses the Platform — Merchants, their staff, and Customers — and forms part of the Terms of Service. Breaching this AUP may lead to content removal, suspension, or termination.
1. General principle
Use the Platform lawfully, honestly, and in a way that respects other users, the Platform, and the public. Don't use it to do anything you couldn't lawfully do offline.
2. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- break any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
- sell or offer goods you are not legally permitted to sell, or that the Platform is not intended for;
- post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- misrepresent your identity, your business, or your menu (including prices, availability, or allergen information);
- place fraudulent, fake, or abusive orders, or use stolen payment credentials;
- harass, threaten, or abuse staff, Customers, or CliqMenu personnel;
- upload malware, or attempt to probe, scan, or breach the security of the Platform or others' accounts;
- interfere with or overload the Platform, including through scraping, automated access, or denial-of-service techniques, except as expressly permitted;
- reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Platform except to the extent the law allows; or
- use the Platform to send spam or unlawful marketing.
3. Merchant-specific responsibilities
Merchants must hold the licences and food-safety approvals their business requires, keep menu and allergen information accurate, honour the prices and availability they publish, and handle Customer information only to fulfil orders and run their business.
4. Reporting and enforcement
Report abuse or policy violations to support@cliqmenu.com. We may investigate, remove content, suspend access, or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe this AUP has been breached, and we will cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. We aim to act proportionately and, where practical, to give notice — but may act immediately where there is risk to people, the Platform, or the law.
5. Reporting intellectual-property infringement
If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights, email legal@cliqmenu.com with: a description of the right and of the allegedly infringing content (with a link or location), your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. We review valid reports, may remove or disable the content, and may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, contact us and we will review it.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time; the current version is always published here with its version and effective date.
